What the New ATF “Ship-to-Home” Rule Means for You — and for Us

We believe in straight talk; so here is our honest take on a major ATF proposal, what it changes, what it protects, and exactly what we are doing about it as your manufacturer.

We are always working to improve your experience while protecting the things that matter most — our brand, our hardworking employees, our dedicated dealer network, and you, the customer. That is why we want to give you a clear, no-hype update on a significant change moving through the ATF right now.

What the rule proposes

ATF Proposed Rule 1140-AB05 would allow licensed dealers in your state to sell firearms remotely — online, by phone, or however works best for you — and then ship the firearm directly to your home address. This applies only when the dealer and buyer are in the same state. It is part of a broader 34-rule modernization package designed to reduce unnecessary burdens on lawful gun owners and dealers while keeping every safety requirement in place.

How it would work for you

1

An in-state authorized dealer verifies your identity using a clear photo of your government-issued ID.

2

The dealer completes an electronic Form 4473 and runs the full NICS background check — the same thorough process as an in-person purchase. No shortcuts on safety.

3

The firearm ships directly to your home address, with Adult Signature Required at delivery.

The rule also enables “drop-ship” arrangements, where your local authorized dealer handles all documentation while the firearm ships directly from one of our distributors to your door. Every step remains fully compliant — the only thing that changes is the number of trips you have to make.

Drop-ship arrangements will only be available through dealers we have formally authorized and trained. Our name is on every gun; we intend to protect it.

We will keep you updated the moment anything is finalized. In the meantime, the best way to experience a Derya firearm is still through our authorized dealers — people who know our guns inside and out and stand fully behind them.

Thank you for trusting us with your Second Amendment rights. We take that seriously, and we are working hard every day to earn it.
