Derya Arms Introduces the OBone, Its First Suppressor
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Derya Arms today introduced the OBone, the company’s first suppressor and the opening product in a rimfire and centerfire line it intends to expand. Designed and manufactured at Derya’s Jacksonville, Florida factory, the OBone is a .22 LR silencer rated for full-automatic fire in .22 LR and for semi-automatic fire in .17 HMR and .22 WMR. USA MSRP is $199.
“OBone is our first in suppressors. We will be adding suppressors as we go along. We started with rimfire because that is the can most people will actually shoot — light enough that the host still handles, simple enough to clean on the tailgate, and built here in Jacksonville.”
— Dustin Jones, Vice President, Derya Arms
Built Simple on Purpose
01
Light on the Muzzle
The OBone adds 5.25 inches to the muzzle, measures 1.181 inches outside diameter, and weighs 3.99 ounces.
02
Any-Order Baffle Stack
Eight identical 7075-T6 aluminum baffles stack in any order inside a black-anodized tube. Nothing is numbered and nothing has to be indexed.
03
Threads in Steel
The serialized component is a screw-on 4140 steel mount with a black nitride finish, threaded 1/2"-28, so the threads live in steel and the wear parts stay aluminum.
04
No Minimum Barrel Length
There is no minimum barrel length. It threads directly onto pistols and rifles cut 1/2"-28, including Derya’s threaded TM22 Feather, Flash, Metal and Lever rifles.
Service & Care
The OBone is user serviceable by hand when maintained, with no proprietary wrench. The front cap, tube, baffle stack and mount separate for cleaning, and rimfire lead and carbon can be soaked and brushed with an aluminum-safe cleaner, then reassembled. Service instructions are in the owner’s manual.
Lead and carbon can lock the front cap; do not clamp the tube or cap in a vise or pliers.
Hear It Yourself
In representative .22 LR testing the OBone metered at 112 dB.
Results vary with host, barrel length, ammunition, temperature and metering method.
A Number Is One Thing. Hearing It Is Another.
This October, Derya will have the OBone on partner firing lines with the TM22 family and other 1/2"-28 rimfire hosts. Come see it in person.
