A Quick Overview of the Derya DY9Z Design and Magazine Integration

The Derya DY9Z offers a streamlined take on micro-compact pistols, blending compatibility with thoughtful engineering for concealed carry. This 9mm striker-fired model builds on a platform that supports magazines for the Glock 43X/48 lineup, allowing for straightforward ammo management. It also accepts complete uppers from the Glock 26, adding modularity for users who value interchangeability.

Weight reduction stands out in the design, with cuts in the slide dropping the unloaded weight to 1.25 pounds for better portability. Dimensions keep it compact: a 3.5-inch barrel, 6.5-inch overall length, 1.1-inch width, and 5-inch height. The OEM DY9Z magazine enhances this slimness through its metal build, holding 15 rounds while trimming bulk to make the pistol more concealable than similar options.

Future accessories will expand the setup, including a custom holster and RMSC optic cut for direct red dot mounting. Additional uppers and parts are slated for release later this year.

Magazine development involved collaboration with ACT-MAG, yielding options that integrate smoothly with the DY9Z. These usually extend compatibility to magazines like the Shield Arms 43X or Magazines for the PSA Micro Dagger, though we DO NOT guarantee it.

The Derya DY9Z is designed to work with magazines compatible with the Glock® 43X platform. During development, two specific magazines were optimized for it: the ACT-MAG magazine for the 43X and the dedicated Derya DY9Z magazine. It is also compatible with the OEM Glock® 43X magazine, though prolonged use may cause accelerated wear due to the metal magazine catch interacting with the polymer OEM magazine body, so we do not recommend it for long-term reliability. Like other firearm manufacturers, including Glock®, we do not endorse the use of aftermarket options such as Shield Arms or Micro Dagger magazines in our firearms. In fact, we advise against it, as doing so may void the warranty. We align with industry standards on this matter to ensure optimal performance and safety.
